FriesNav collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics and no tracking. The app runs entirely on your own device. Below we explain this per topic.
None. FriesNav sends no personal data to us or to third parties, and keeps no usage statistics. In the App Store privacy section FriesNav is therefore listed as “Data Not Collected”.
FriesNav requests access to your location (“while using the app”) to show your position on the chart. That location is used solely on your device and is never sent, shared or stored outside the app. The app uses no background location: as soon as FriesNav is not active in the foreground, your position is not tracked.
FriesNav has no server of its own and no user accounts. The app only connects to the internet to download or update chart files:
During such a download — as with any internet connection — your IP address is visible to those services. We do not link it to you and do not store it ourselves. No personal, chart or voyage data is sent to these services.
Your settings (such as the chosen chart and whether you have seen the disclaimer) and the downloaded chart packs are stored locally on your device. You can remove them at any time by deleting the app or, for the chart packs, via Settings inside the app.
FriesNav is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, regardless of age.
